Honestly, I have no idea what I'm doing. I've blogged off and on for the last few years, mostly at bigsimon.com, and lately I've found the format utterly unsatisfying. Needing something more, the installation of a wiki was the next obvious step. Why a wiki? Mostly because this is a place all about my thoughts and ideas, wisps of information both tied together by virtue of one commonality - their origin - and disjointed in their range. Some of them are interconnected in ways a blog could never properly display, and yet others have no link to the rest other than that they came out of (or through) my head. Maybe it's the ultimate conceit, that I would put up a wiki for my own, personal use, but I'd like to think of it more as a tool of organizing, or perhaps disorganizing, my musings.
